Our Student Intern Tax Preparer position begins with paid training in the Fall/Winter. The ideal candidate will be an Accounting major and have taken at least one tax class. The candidate also will have:
- strong computer skills
- excellent organizational skills
- excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- work well independently and as a team player
During tax season (approximately early January to April 15th), the Tax Preparer/Intern will work 25+ hours per week, including the opportunity for weekend hours. Overtime is available, and bonuses are awarded for effort and advancing skills.
Position Description
- Prepare individual tax returns to meet governmental requirements, deadlines and client expectations
- Develop a working knowledge of tax laws
- Develop a working knowledge of tax software
- Learn to apply technical skills to actual situations
- Understand our accounting firm and all processes

This position offers a competitive hourly wage with opportunities for a 30-day review, season-end bonus, and paid overtime.

Compensation: $21.00 per hour
